SUNY ITEC Chooses Ensemble Video Multi-Tenant Platform for University-Wide Video CMS

The State University of New York (SUNY) Information Technology Exchange Center (ITEC) today announced its acquisition of the Ensemble Video platform. Ensemble Video will provide streamlined video content management and publishing capabilities throughout the nations largest comprehensive system of higher education.

As part of SUNYs Shared Services initiative, ITEC will offer Ensemble Video to SUNY colleges and universities at a significantly discounted price, enabling on-campus and cross-campus sharing of digital assets, including learning, promotional, and professional development materials.

SUNY campuses came to ITEC with the need for a quality video management solution that is easy to use, robust, flexible, cost effective, and compatible with existing applications and infrastructure, says Mike Notarius, SUNY ITEC Chief Information Officer. Ensemble will provide another tool for SUNY campuses to continue enhancements in instruction and research; and efficiencies in administrative functions for students, faculty, and staff.

Ensemble Video will also provide the core streaming video infrastructure for Open SUNY, an enhanced online teaching and learning environment announced in March, slated to become the largest online institution in the country.
